Filipino Games Translation & Localization Specialist

Position duration: approximately one year with a high likelihood of extension based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Translate written materials with high quality, including new releases, marketing materials, support knowledge base articles, and other customer-facing literature.
• Manage short‑term and long‑term projects, reprioritizing workflow as needed and meeting last‑minute changes to source material.
• Collaborate with team members, communicating clearly in a highly team‑driven environment.
• Use computer‑assisted translation tools (Crowdin, MemoQ, Memsource, SDL Trados, Wordfast) and maintain terminology databases.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or equivalent degree with emphasis in translation, localization, linguistics or game design (a plus).
• Native proficiency in Filipino with exceptional grammar skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Relevant prior gaming experience for accurately translating content in a gaming context.
• Professional translation/localization experience in games and technical translation preferred.
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
• Collaborative translator who enjoys working in a team environment and can handle quick turnaround times.
• Experience with computer‑assisted translation tools (Crowdin, MemoQ, Memsource, SDL Trados, or Wordfast).
• Strong knowledge of different operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint).
• Passion for PC or console gaming.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with computer hardware, software development, or game design.
• Familiarity with game distribution platforms.
• Understanding and knowledge of different game genres and online discussion groups.
• Knowledge of different gaming hardware.

Compensation

For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $29.80 to $36.05 USD per hour, with a midpoint of $32.93.
