Role Overview:
We are seeking skilled and experienced Tagalog Interpreters to provide professional over-the-phone interpretation services. Interpreters will support medical, social, and customer service interactions, facilitating clear communication between clients and Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation for medical, social, and customer service scenarios.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Ensure the message conveyed retains the meaning, tone, and intent of the speaker.
- Manage calls in a professional manner and adhere to all company protocols and client expectations.
- Document and report interpretation activities as required.
Requirements:
- Fluency in Tagalog and English (spoken and written).
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Medical interpretation (preferred familiarity with medical terminology).
- Social services or community interpreting.
- Customer service environments.
- Certification in interpretation (e.g., CCHI, NBCMI) is a plus.
- Strong listening and note-taking skills.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations and deliver high-quality interpretation consistently.
