Job Description:

Under the supervision of the center Registered Nurse, the CNA position will be responsible for providing assistance with all activities of daily living including: transferring in/out of wheelchairs, transferring to/from bathroom, ambulating, hygiene/grooming, dressing, feeding, and meal preparation. This position also is responsible for providing assistance with exercise, games, recreational activities, personal care and clean-up as needed.
Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using physical documentation and electronic health record systems like TurboTar.

Candidate Requirements:

Certification with accredited training course through the State of California and current certification through American Heart Association in Basic Life.
Appropriate license.
Must be energetic, dependable, able to read/write English, and able to complete a physical clearing them to lift 50+ pounds.
Upon hire, the candidate will also need to obtain a negative TB test.

Candidate Qualifications:

Must have experience or experience working with the disabled population.
Familiarity with medical equipment and devices, such as durable medical equipment (DME).
Arabic/Spanish/Tagalog speaking highly desirable but not required.

Hours:

Shifts are Monday thru Friday - 6 hours between the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
