Role Description

This is an on-site Interpreter role based in Chicago, IL. The Interpreter will provide accurate oral interpretation services for clients in various settings, including medical, legal, business, and community environments. Responsibilities include facilitating clear communication between individuals with language barriers, ensuring cultural sensitivity, and maintaining confidentiality in all interactions. This position requires a professional demeanor, the ability to adapt to diverse situations, and exceptional communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least two languages (English & Target language) , with excellent command of both written and spoken forms.
• Strong listening, comprehension, and active communication skills to ensure accurate interpretation.
• Familiarity with cultural nuances and customs to enhance meaningful exchanges between parties.
• Previous experience in interpretation across medical, legal, or business environments is a strong advantage.
• High degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all interactions.
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle real-time interpretation in dynamic and diverse settings.
• Completion of professional interpreter training or relevant certification is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Languages, or a related field is a plus.
