Tagalog Over-the-Phone

Ad Astra, Inc. is currently seeking qualified and reliable Tagalog Over-the-Phone / VIR Interpreters (OPIs) to provide professional language support services to our diverse client base. This freelance, remote position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by facilitating clear and accurate communication between Spanish-speaking individuals and English speakers.

As a Spanish OPI, you will manage inbound and outbound calls across a range of sectors, including healthcare, legal, government, and community services. This role is ideal for language professionals who are passionate about language access and enjoy working in a dynamic, virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive Spanish-English interpretation services over the phone with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to the interpreter code of ethics.
• Handle calls involving various subject matters and industries.

Facilitate culturally sensitive communication between parties.

Technical Requirements

• A reliable desktop or laptop computer with Windows 10 and at least 8 GB of RAM.
• A secure, high-speed, private internet connection:
• Minimum download speed: 20 Mbps
• Minimum upload speed: 3 Mbps

A USB-wired headset with a built-in microphone (Bluetooth/wireless headsets are not permitted).

Additional Requirements

• Candidates can be located anywhere in the world, as this is a remote position.

Must have previous experience in Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI).
