This Client in Windsor, require PROBABLY 8-12hrs/day and will include more days during the following weeks

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to join our team, providing essential support to individuals in various care settings. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring patient comfort, and promoting overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care, and possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in need. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring hospice or dementia care, making a meaningful difference in their lives.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide compassionate patient care tailored to individual needs
• Administer medications and monitor health status as directed by healthcare professionals
• Support meal preparation and feeding for residents or clients
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning duties
• Assist with mobility and transfer of patients using proper techniques and heavy lifting when necessary
• Support patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments through specialized care approaches
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care
• Document patient observations and report any changes in condition promptly

Experience

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care is preferred
• Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia or hospice care is highly desirable
• Knowledge of caregiving best practices including medication administration and safety protocols
• Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaning is advantageous
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively while maintaining patient dignity and safety
• Previous experience in healthcare settings that involve working closely with patients requiring specialized attention is a plus
