RSE Energy Group is looking for a Bilingual Filipino (Tagalog) and English Part-Time HVAC Installer to join our team. As an installation professional, you are a key member of our team responsible for the quality and efficient installation of refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning systems. You will also develop new customers by identifying opportunities to sell additional services we provide.
As an HVAC installer you will travel to our clients’ properties, inspect their current equipment, assess any defects in their device, and perform the required repairs or maintenance routines. The HVAC Installer must be skilled in cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems. To be a successful HVAC installer you will need excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Your essential duty is to provide professional HVAC Systems installation service for clients new and replacement projects. Customer satisfaction, safety, and comfort should be your highest priority in this role. Our ideal candidate has 5-8 years of experience in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Travel to homes and businesses as scheduled
- Installation of heating and cooling systems, heat pumps, ductless mini splits, hot water boilers, sheet metal installation, and basic fabrication
- Installation of pipes or tubing to the equipment and the fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form a complete circuit
- Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and timers
- Diagnosing HVAC systems for electrical and mechanical defects
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Conduct mechanical and electrical inspection and maintenance on equipment to bring them to optimal performance
- Serve as company representative to other contractors, owners, and trades
- Give advice on additional services to customers that may be beneficial to them
- Complete and submit needed paperwork in a timely manner to the service coordinator or manager
Requirements and Qualifications
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
- Current State HVAC technician certification
- OSHA 30hr Certification
- CFC Certification: Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants is required
- Must have basic understanding of low voltage control wiring and high voltage connections
- Ability to lift 100lbs
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Vocational, Technical Training, or apprenticeship of an HVAC program
- High School diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice
- Strong knowledge of equipment, tools, and methods commonly applied in repairing air conditioning and heating equipment in commercial and residential buildings
- Strong knowledge of principles of operation of air conditioning and heating systems, and safety practices concerning HVAC work
- Strong ability to diagnose equipment and determine if repair and maintenance work is needed or not; and ability to keep records of work done, etc.
- Excellent ability to explain technical information to clients in a way they will understand Strong ability to perform assigned tasks independently
- Strong knowledge of computers and the ability to apply the necessary software tools for HVAC duties
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
