Role Description

The Category Buying Manager (Retail) is a full-time, on-site position based in Pomona, CA. This role involves managing the overall buying strategies to secure the best products at optimal prices. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, negotiating supplier contracts, managing inventory levels, and ensuring an appealing product assortment for customers. This individual will regularly collaborate with merchandising and operations teams to meet sales goals and maintain customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Purchasing, Vendor Negotiation, and Supplier Relationship Management
• Proficiency in Category Management, Demand Forecasting, and Inventory Planning
• Knowledge of Retail Merchandising, Pricing Strategy, and Sales Analytics
• Proven experience in Budget Management and Profit Margin Optimization
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Prior experience in grocery, retail, or product buying is a strong plus
• Familiarity with Filipino products and culture is advantageous but not required
