Job Overview

SOSi is hiring Papiamento, Philipino/Tagalog language linguists to support various duties in our customer's requirements. Additionally, the company seeks candidates fluent in Malagasy, Maltese, and Tahitian languages.

Key Responsibilities

• Linguists will perform linguistic functions, including monitoring, organizing, categorizing, translating, transcribing, interpreting, quality control, and validation services.
• They will listen to oral and electronic communication intercepts in English and foreign languages, providing an immediate oral summary and a written summary in English.
• Linguists will operate equipment as directed by government personnel and prepare digital copies for storage.
• Additionally, they will enter summaries into a digital medium, sign documents, and maintain a list of slang words and codes used by conversants.

Requirements

• Candidates must have a Secret level security clearance and a Bachelor's degree or 4 years of combined work and educational experience.
• They should pass a language assessment in speaking, listening, reading, and writing categories in both native tongue and English.
• Linguists need excellent command of English and the ability to provide clear, concise communications.
• Fluency in Papiamento, Philipino/Tagalog languages with verification of language skills is required.
