We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and highly motivated cell culture and molecular biologist to join our mammalian cell line development group. This is an up to 3-year contractor position.
The successful candidate will work on host cell line development using client's industry-leading targeted integration technology, with the aim of improving recombinant Adeno-Associated Virus (rAAV) manufacturing for gene therapy applications. Expertise in cell culture, process development, and molecular biology techniques are needed.
This is an ideal position for a researcher who is enthusiastic about research, innovation, and drug development experience in gene therapy. As such, the position requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, the desire to continuously learn about the gene therapy and drug development process, and a passion for helping patients through advancement in gene therapy technologies. The successful applicant will work independently under minimal supervision to design and execute multiple experiments in parallel.
Qualifications
Required:
- A PhD degree with 0+ years of industry experience, or a Master's/Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of industry experience in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, virology, biotechnology, bioengineering, chemical engineering or other related disciplines.
- Relevant mammalian cell culture experience in HEK293 cells
- Relevant molecular biology experience (molecular cloning, western blotting, qPCR, ddPCR, etc)
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
