Role Description

This is an as-needed, on-site role for Tagalog Interpreters based in the San Diego Metropolitan Area or Southern California Area. The interpreters will support effective communication by interpreting spoken language between Tagalog and English in various settings such as legal, business, educational, and community environments. The role requires ensuring accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and maintaining confidentiality while facilitating conversations between parties. Interpreters must demonstrate professionalism and the ability to adapt to diverse contexts.

Qualifications

• Fluency in both Tagalog and English, with strong verbal communication and listening skills.
• Experience in interpretation and knowledge of cultural nuances to ensure accurate and effective communication.
• Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to maintain confidentiality under all circumstances.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Relevant certifications in interpretation or language proficiency are preferred.
• Familiarity with legal, medical, or community terminology.
• Access to reliable transportation for travel to on-site locations within the San Diego Metropolitan Area.
